DO YOU HAVE LOTS MORE DIGITAL PHOTOS YOU'RE EAGER TO SHARE?

Great! You’ll have an option to upload 2 photos with each video response you give. You can upload them as you go, or we'll send you a link to upload them later.

HERE ARE SOME OPTIONS FOR TURNING PAPER PHOTOGRAPHS INTO DIGITAL PHOTOS

SCAN WITH A SCANNER: For those who have a scanner - or a friend or family member willing to scan - you can scan the photos (120 dpi or higher). Make sure they are cropped into a neat square or rectangle (don't scan them crooked!). We are unable to enhance, edit, or straighten photos during the movie-making process.

TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR PHOTOS: Believe it or not, we have had users take photos of old photos using their phones and mobile devices, and they looked pretty decent on video! Please make sure to stand up or lay the photo somewhere where you won’t get glare from overhead lights or lamps while snapping your photo – you’ll quickly see that light glare on the photo can be a challenge with this method, but not insurmountable. If necessary, use the "crop" feature in your device's photo gallery to trim it to a neat square or rectangle before submitting it.

PHOTOMYNE: Click here to check out this great app which you can get on your phone or mobile device. When you take pictures of your old photos using Photomyne, it scans for faces, crops the image, and even enhances the colors. Once the app has done its work, you can save the photo to your phone, and later upload it to VividMemoirs.

LEGACYBOX: If you prefer to have a professional scan your photos or digitize old videos, we suggest you visit LegacyBox.com. Click here to learn how simple and easy it is to work with LegacyBox. For a separate fee, they will mail you a box, and you fill it with all your chosen photos or old home videos. They will copy them to a digital format and mail you back a disc or USB drive along with your originals.

DON'T LET A LACK OF PHOTOS STOP YOU

The most important thing is to record your memoirs for future generations. Photos are nice, but will not replace the joy your family will feel at hearing your voice telling about your life.
